Two diamonds of cedar, each painted by hand with the Amazigh tattoo of the woman, read as tilelli: freedom. The edges are wrapped in sfifa, the fine braided trim that finishes a caftan, and topped with a wooden bead in the same colour. They hang on silver 925 hooks and weigh almost nothing, so they can be worn all day.

The symbol

The woman

A figure of a woman, read as tilelli: freedom. Amazigh women of the Atlas once wore signs like it as tattoos.

Care

Wood is alive: keep it away from water and perfume, and wipe it with a dry, soft cloth. Once or twice a year, a drop of olive or linseed oil on a cloth brings the grain back.

Put jewelry on after perfume and creams, and store it flat in its pouch. Silver 925 hooks can be cleaned with a silver cloth.

Made by hand, so each piece differs a little from the photograph: the grain, the rings and the brush strokes are its own.
